For the last three years I have immersed myself in UX classes and projects. I received a Certification from Weber State University in User Experience and Design and have continued to pursue a bachelors degree in User Experience with a minor in Computer Science. These are the projects I have completed in school.
I have explored various areas of Marketing as a Restaurant owner. We hosted events and created fliers, along with a Commercial Website and the use of social media to advertise Restaurant specials and events.
I have spent some time learning web development in school and have been on teams that do all types of software development. I hope to specialize in webpage development and customer facing content, using the user research skills I have developed as a business owner and as a student. Much of the software development experience I have with customer facing content is honing our POS (point of sale) system at the restaurant so that the pop-up messages were accurate and that they would populate useful reports. I am a wife and mother who restarted my career later in life. We sold our restaurant and I began the User Experience journey. I want to make software more accessible while focusing my future projects on the way data can be saved and used to make decisions in budgeting, efficiency and to predict the best products and services to invest time in.
